The 'Gray's Editions' lamp was designed and made as part of a collection by the students of Gray's school of art in order to pay tribute to the Gray's building. This significant piece of architecture has influenced the shape and form of my lamp.
The lamp's main feature is its 360° interest and the contrasting materials. Wood is used to fit into a home environment and the acrylic panels diffuse the light for less harsh visual and to compliment its intricate shape.
Gray's School of Art
The Gray's aesthetic is bold, industrial and striking, I wanted to translate its strong linear appearance into a complex geometric form.
Materials used: plywood, acrylic, electrical fitting.
CAD models made in Rhino and rendered using Keyshot.
